Master Chen Xi-Ren is widely celebrated for his unique mineral pigment painting techniques, infused with rich palettes and vibrant expressive depth. His exquisite brushwork crafts distinct visual narratives that effortlessly draw audiences into his artistic world.
Born in 1940 in Mingjian Township, Nantou County (Chushui Nanzai), Master Chen Xi-Ren moved north in 1955 to pursue a livelihood. Seeking to master a craft, he enrolled in the Shinguang Fine Arts Institute, where he received foundational art training and was mentored for six years by his revered teacher, Mr. Huang Ou-Po. In 1959, balancing work and study, he took elective evening courses in bird-and-flower and landscape painting under Professors Lin Yu-Shan and Chang De-Wen at National Taiwan Normal University. He has taught in the Department of Advertising Design at Hsiehho High School of Arts and Science and holds memberships in numerous prestigious associations, including the Industrial Design Association of the R.O.C., the Graphic Design Association of the R.O.C., Changliu Art Society, the Taiwan Gouache Painting Association, the Taiwan Greenwater Gouache Painting Society, and the Nantou Fine Arts Association. Master Chen has long been an award-winning and highly respected participant in major art exhibitions throughout Taiwan.

Master Chang Cheng-Cheng excels in glazed ceramic art, with creations renowned for their highly original, innovative craftsmanship and intricate, delicate textures. Each ceramic piece radiates a distinct presence, allowing observers to intimately feel the nourishment of the earth and the raw vitality of life. A native of Zhushan, Nantou, Master Chang is a Ministry of Culture-certified member of Crafts Workshop. He graduated in 1972 from the Design Section of the 6th graduating class of the Fine Arts Department at Chinese Culture University. His professional background spans advertising art director, Deputy Secretary-General of the Taiwan Crafts Workshop Association, professional graphic designer, and corporate identity system (CIS) planner—including CIS planning and design projects for brands such as Master Kong. He has held numerous solo ceramic exhibitions across Taiwan and won multiple graphic design accolades; he also served as a specially commissioned stamp designer for Chunghwa Post from 2010 to 2011.

The "Thus I Have Seen" dual art exhibition is proudly organized by "EASY SMART TRANSCEND," the visionary pioneer behind the 3DIH induction hobs. Through this event, the organizer aspires to highlight infinite possibilities through Master Chang Cheng-Cheng’s continuous devotion to glazed ceramics in his seventies, and reveal endless allure in Master Chen Xi-Ren’s deep immersion in mineral pigment painting in his eighties. The spirit of “Thus I Have Seen” encourages us to appreciate things as they truly are and to recognize the beauty and inspiration found in lifelong artistic devotion. It also reflects the entrepreneurial perseverance and innovative spirit that have guided founder and General Manager Huang Wei-Wen throughout his journey of invention and business creation. The exhibition is open from now until the end of September at Easy Gallery, located at No. 67, Wuquan 1st St., West Dist., Taichung City. We warmly welcome you to visit from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and discover new perspectives and inspiration through these remarkable works.
