Does an IH Hob Require 220V Power Supply?
( Did you know IH hobs typically require at least 220V voltage to operate? )
Most IH (induction) hobs require a 220-volt (V) voltage to operate properly.
This is because 220V provides sufficient energy to generate the magnetic field needed to heat the bottom of the cookware.
However, general small electromagnetic cookers only require 110V.
Please check the technical specifications or user manual of the IH hob you purchased to ensure you understand the correct voltage it requires.
In addition, when installing an IH hob, you must also ensure that the power outlet used for installation can deliver the correct voltage and current
to guarantee that the appliance operates safely.
If your kitchen is still equipped with the older 110V voltage, or if you are unsure about the voltage,
it is highly recommended to have a professional electrician perform the installation for 220V to ensure everything is safe and reliable.
