Jiao Tong’s food literature captures the essence of experiencing culinary delights in everyday life. His highly readable, systematic portrayals of various culinary dimensions have gained massive popularity across both sides of the Taiwan Strait. Written in a humorous, profound, and deeply evocative visual style, his latest work once again sets a benchmark for food literature in the Chinese-speaking world.
Huang Wei-Wen, General Manager of EASY SMART TRANSCEND CO., LTD., the event organizer, expressed his gratitude for Jiao Tong's captivating "slow food" appeal. He noted that the event received overwhelming support and participation from the Asia-Pacific Elite Managers Book Club, the Elite Reading Club, and the Tunghai University Alumni Association. The venue was packed to capacity two hours before the launch and remained so until the very end. Taichung fans eagerly took photos and collected autographs, walking away thoroughly delighted and inspired to continue their culinary journey with Jiao Tong's "A World of Slow Food."
During the event, Jiao Tong personally experienced a culinary innovation—the 3DIH Induction Hob. Eliminating the need for traditional gas stoves, this safe, electricity-powered IH induction hob features a precise 9-stage power control. Its unique design allows traditional Chinese round-bottom woks to be used for stir-frying a diverse array of dishes. This enables culinary enthusiasts to master cooking details and lock in flavors effortlessly, all while eliminating the hazards of gas leaks. The 3DIH Induction Hob is highly recommended by Jiao Tong.
Born in Kaohsiung City in 1956, Jiao Tong is the founder of Fish & Fish Culture Publishing and Food Magazine. He has authored over 30 works, including prose collections such as "The Gluttonous World," "The Flavor of Formosa," "Chronicles of Fruits and Vegetables," "Breakfast for My Little Lover," as well as various books of poetry.
His literary creations have been translated into English, Japanese, French, and Spanish for international publication. Notably, the Japanese edition of "The Flavor of Formosa" enjoyed a long run at the top of Japan's bestseller charts. Jiao Tong previously served as a professor in the Department of Chinese Literature at National Central University and has dedicated himself entirely to full-time writing following his retirement.
